LULULEMON

Location: Vancouver, BC
Size: Existing, No Change
Client: Lululemon
Architect: Gustavson Wylie Architects (GWA)

GWA worked with Lululemon to create a headquarters office resonant with their company values, a work environment as progressive and functional as the company itself. Working within the framework of the existing Coca-Cola bottling plant at 1818 Cornwall which was converted to office space in the 1980s, GWA opened up a multi-story atrium within the red-brick building to act as a focal circulation space and to physically and metaphorically link the levels within the building. A dramatic staircase climbs from floor to floor against the backdrop of a massive living wall. Award-winning millwork details using reclaimed timber complement the existing brickwork both inside and out.
