Previous Firehall experience allowed for this effective and efficient proposal which BCBC, on behalf of the Lake Cowichan Fire Department and Ambulance Service chose from a number of entries for their new Firehall and Ambulance Station.

This 12,000 sq. ft., six bay Firehall, and two bay Ambulance Department utilizes an efficient combination of concrete tilt-up and standard wood frame construction. Attention to adjacent building types and materials provide a locally appropriate expression which meets a limited budget and fits successfully onto a reclaimed public works site.
